Learn Kotlin from the Basics

Kotlin — Google's official language for Android apps — taught from the ground up across 68 lessons. Since Kotlin is compiled rather than run in a browser, each lesson checks whether what you typed matches the reference code, giving you instant feedback without ever leaving the page.

What is Kotlin used for?

Kotlin was released by JetBrains in 2011 and named the official language for Android development by Google in 2017. It runs on the Java virtual machine, so it can use the vast Java ecosystem directly, while its own null safety and concise syntax remove much of the boilerplate Java requires. Beyond Android it is widely used for server-side work as well.
