FizzBuzz (the Classic Practice Problem)
In this lesson you will tackle FizzBuzz, the classic programming exercise, and deepen your grasp of conditionals. This is for anyone searching for "PHP FizzBuzz solution".
FizzBuzz is a staple of programming practice. You print the numbers in order, but print "Fizz" for multiples of 3, "Buzz" for multiples of 5, and "FizzBuzz" for multiples of both. It is perfect practice for conditionals.
The sample code loops from 1 to 15 with a for statement and makes three checks with if / elseif. The key point is that the "multiple of 15 (both)" test comes first; get that order wrong and the output is wrong.
It is simple, yet it breaks if you get the order wrong, which is why it is a favourite for interviews and training. It is also ideal for practising the remainder operator (%) while cementing the basics of conditionals.
Similar rule-based decisions apply in practice too, from calculating discount conditions to scoring in a game. It looks trivial, but it genuinely tests your ability to order conditions correctly.
๐งช This site can't compile or run PHP directly, so it checks on the spot whether what you typed matches the reference code (scoring happens entirely in your browser โ nothing is sent anywhere).
