Branching (the if statement)
This lesson covers how to write an if statement in Rust.
if / else if / else branches on a condition. Unlike many other languages, Rust does not require parentheses around the condition.
The sample code uses if / else if / else to print one of three messages depending on score.
A common early stumble is the habit of wrapping the condition in (). If you have come from another language you will want to write if (score >= 80), but in Rust you write if score >= 80 without the parentheses.
In professional work, Rust's if also doubles as an expression, which makes conditional assignment to a variable pleasantly concise.
