Getting Started
The pseudo terminal on this page needs no installation — you can start practicing right away. To use a real terminal on your own computer, here's what to check.
- Mac: comes with an app called "Terminal" pre-installed (search "Terminal" in Spotlight).
- Windows: WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) gives you a real Linux environment right on Windows.
- Linux: comes with a terminal app by default.
- If you want to seriously practice server operations, renting a cheap VPS (like a ConoHa VPS) to practice on is also a great option.
